Subscribers can search the IVIS database for instances of a name, word or group of words in all IVIS Reports.
  
This powerful tool allows searching through any combination of Companies, Meetings and Reports. Searching by Company returns words that appear under Company name, Sector, Registrars and Secretary, whilst the Meetings search adds the venue and key issues. Using the Reports search would return instances of a word in any part of the notes fields in the three different Report types.
  
Examples
This means that you could, for example, to see which Companies have been advised by a particular consultancy, or search for an individual to see which other boards they sit on - although this will only get picked up if they have stood for election. In addition, you could search for a key issue, as a phrase in speech marks, to return companies where it is a concern. You can then download or print the relevant IVIS Reports.
  
Search language
“ ” allows you to search for a phrase.  
* returns alternative endings, so consult* would return the endings -ing, -ants and -ation.  
A comma or a space between words is treated the same as the connector OR.
AND searches for instances of both words.
