Advanced Search
This tool allows Subscribers to conduct complex searches and save search strings for re-use.
There are two types of Advanced Search which Subscribers have access to. They can either use a
Preset Search
, or
Build
their own. A Preset Search is one which has the basic building blocks already in place. For example, searching Proxy Reports and Red Tops by date and FTSE Rank
Prompts
Subscribers to select the date range and the Ranking to suit their needs.
Whether choosing a Preset Search, or building one from scratch, Subscribers can choose which other fields are displayed along with the search results. There are 36 different options, including numbers of executives, independent NEDs and non-independent NEDs.
Meta Categories and Meta Tags
Along with some self-explanatory fields, the IVIS Database also uses
Meta Categories
and
Meta Tags
. These are items which are tagged in the database to allow detailed searches. For example:
Each Proxy Report is tagged with a range for the salary of the highest-paid Director.
The length of a Directors service contract is individually tagged.
For a new LTIP or ESOS, the types of targets are tagged, along with things such as Retesting.
This function allows searches to be very tightly defined, resulting in the return of precise information.
An Advanced Search tool is also available which allows Subscribers to conduct complex searches and save search strings for re-use. Go there via the
