Features of
IVIS
Scope of IVIS
IVIS reviews UK company Annual Reports and
Accounts and company Meeting Notices for compliance with Corporate
Governance best practice. All companies which comprise the UK FTSE
All Share Index are monitored. The basis for the IVIS monitoring
service are the ABI Investment Committee
guidelines, and the Combined Code which is
administered by the Financial Reporting Council
(FRC).
Reach of IVIS
IVIS Subscribers include the top 15
investors in the FTSE All Share, representing approximately 35% of
the market. It is these institutions who are often consulted as an
IVIS Report is being written, allowing the team to strongly
represent the views of real and significant
holders.
Style of IVIS
The IVIS team works hard to analyse every
AGM and EGM before producing a concise report with all the key
information on voting matters, the
Combined Code, and
Environmental, Social and Governance
(ESG) issues. Where necessary, the
Company will be contacted to add further colour to information that
may appear in the report. This gives investors the ability to
quickly identify the key issues before voting, or to use as a basis
for further research or company contact.
Report Colour Coding
Each report is Colour
Coded to reflect any breaches
of best practice or to highlight areas of concern. The colour
showing the strongest concern is Red, followed by Amber. A Blue Top
indicates no areas of major concern, while a Green report indicates
an issue that has now been resolved.
Search Tools
All site users can access the Company
Search. This can be used to find
companies and determine which corresponding IVIS Reports have been
produced. Subscribers to IVIS can access the Quick Search tool
which enables complex searches for companies, meetings and reports
by entering phrases and keywords. The returned results include
listings of Companies, Meeting Dates, and the Meeting Type. Go to
the Quick Search via the Log
On screen. An
Advanced Search tool is also available which allows Subscribers to
conduct complex searches and save search strings for re-use. Go
there via the Log
On
screen.
Report Alerts
Users are able to set their
profile so that the system will automatically let you know when an
IVIS Report has been published online. After
logging-on
Subscribers are now able to select Companies by name, sector or
FTSE Rank.
Weekly Emails
The weekly email has been a feature of the
IVIS service for several years. It allows users to see which IVIS
Reports have been published in the previous week, with a short
synopsis of any which have been Red or Amber Topped. This is
particularly important during the reporting season when up to 60
reports may be written per week.
